Projects - Wayne County Transportation Coalition

The Wayne County Transportation Coalition

In 2015, the Transportation Coalition was formed as an ad hoc committee of the Wayne County Housing Coalition, which believes that every citizen should be able to obtain and maintain affordable, decent and safe housing, and recognizes that the lack of transportation is a significant barrier to achieving this goal. Community Action Wayne/Medina serves as the lead agency of the Mobility Manager 5310 FTA grant. Administering the Mobility Management program is directly in line with Community Action Wayne/Medina’s mission to “build bridges of hope and self-sufficiency by connecting people to resources where basic needs are met and education becomes a lifelong journey.” CAW/M’s Mobility Management program also aligns with the Wayne County Transportation Coalition’s mission “to collaborate and coordinate all forms of safe, affordable, and reliable transportation in order to transport people in Wayne County.”
